Lori Qingyuan Yue

Sen. Lori Qingyuan Yue is Charles E. Exley Professor of Management at Columbia Business School. Her research examines the interplay among business, society, and government, with a focus on how firms respond to contentious social environments, regulatory uncertainty, and international geopolitical dynamics. She has developed a theory of organizational nationalism and used AI and Large Language Models to construct computational measures of nationalism at the firm level. Before joining Columbia, Professor Yue was a tenured professor at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Sociology Department.
