Albert Lessler

Albert Lessler is a third-year electrical engineering student at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, where his interests include signal processing, device physics and fabrication, and logic design. He is drawn to work that spans the full stack of hardware, from how devices are made to how digital systems are built on top of them. As a research assistant in Professor Ioannis Kymissis's Columbia Laboratory for Unconventional Electronics (CLUE), he works on organic field-effect transistor fabrication and process flow optimization. Albert is also a superuser at the Columbia University Makerspace, where he trains students on equipment, develops training and safety documentation, and helps keep the space's tools and network running. On the IT Committee, he hopes to represent the students who rely on campus technology every day, with a focus on making computing, software, and lab resources more reliable and easier to access for coursework and research.
