RESOLUTION TO ADD ONE RESEARCH OFFICER
TO THE STRUCTURE AND
OPERATIONS COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the University Senate provides a forum for
representatives of various
WHEREAS, the community of Officers of Research has shown
exceptional growth since the founding of the Senate in 1969, and
WHEREAS, the contribution of Officers of Research to the
University’s well-being and reputation has also expanded at an exceptional
rate;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Structure and Operations Committee welcomes and approves adding an Officer of Research to the Structure and Operations Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amends its By-laws to increase by one (1) the total membership of the University Senate Structure and Operations Committee, and that the additional member of the Structure and Operations Committee be an Officer of Research.

WHEREAS, the University Senate provides a forum for representatives

University’s well-being and reputation has also expanded at an exceptional

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Structure and Operations Committee approves adding an Officer of Research to the Alumni Relations Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amends its By-laws to increase by one (1) the total membership of the University Senate Alumni Relations Committee, and that the additional member of the Alumni Relations Committee be an Officer of Research.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amends its By-laws to increase by one (1) the total membership of the University Senate Budget Review Committee, and that the additional member of the Budget Review Committee be an Officer of Research.

WHEREAS, the University Senate provides a forum for representatives

WHEREAS, the contribution of Officers of Research to the
University’s well-being and reputation has also expanded at an exceptional
rate;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Structure and Operations Committee approves adding an Officer of Research to the Rules of University Conduct Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amends
its By-laws to increase by one (1) the total membership of the University
Senate Rules of University Conduct Committee, and that the additional member of
the Rules of University Conduct
Committee be an Officer of Research.

COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the University Senate provides a forum for
representatives of various

exceptional growth since the founding of the Senate in 1969, and
WHEREAS, the contribution of Officers of Research to the
University’s well-being and reputation has also expanded at an exceptional
rate;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Structure and Operations Committee approves adding an Officer of Research to the Education Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amend its By-laws to increase the total membership of the Committee on Education to twenty (20) members (from nineteen, 19) and that the additional member of the Committee on Education be a member of the Senate who is an Officer of Research from the ranks of Senior Professional Officers of Research (senior research scientist/senior research scholar or research scientist/research scholar).

WHEREAS, the University Senate provides a forum for

WHEREAS, the contribution of Officers of Research to the
University’s well-being and reputation has also expanded at an exceptional
rate;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Structure and Operations Committee approves adding an Officer of Research to the Executive Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the University Senate amend its By-laws to increase the total membership of the Executive Committee to fourteen (14) members (from thirteen, 13) and that the additional member of the Executive Committee be a member of the Senate who is an Officer of Research from the ranks of Senior Professional Officers of Research (senior research scientist/senior research scholar or research scientist/research scholar).
